Selective, post-emergence herbicide with systemic action action against annual and perennial grass weeds. It is absorbed by the leaves of weeds and transported to the above-ground and underground parts of the plant, inhibiting their growth. Symptoms are visible 10-20 days after application. The sprayed weeds stop growing, the leaves turn yellow and finally die. At a biochemical level, it inhibits the biosynthesis of fatty acids (inhibitor of the enzyme acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase).
