Post-emergence, systemic, selective foliar herbicide of the phenoxyalkanoate group for the control of Broadleaf weeds in cereals (wheat, barley, rye, oats) and turf. It is absorbed mainly by the leaves of weeds. It moves systemically in plant tissues through both the symplast and the apoplast and concentrates in young meristematic tissues. It causes epinasty and asymmetric growth of plants with characteristic twisting of their leaves and young shoots and affects respiration, reserves of essential nutrients and cell division. At a biochemical level, 2,4-D acts like natural auxins.

node is located at a height of 1 cm above the twin node.
