Biological insecticide for the control of lepidopteran larvae. The product acts from the stomach and must be ingested by the larvae to be effective. A few hours after ingestion, the larvae stop feeding and die in the following days.

Dipel 2X is an insecticide with selective action to combat Lepidoptera larvae. Its insecticidal action is due to the endotoxins of the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki strain ABTS-351. Valent BioSciences Corp. (Sumitomo Chemical Agro Europe SAS) with 50 years of know-how is the only one that has developed Bt formulations with the strain ABTS-351 that produces the endotoxins Cry1Aa, Cry1Ab, Cry1Ac and Cry2A and with the simultaneous presence of spores of the bacterium in preparation.

Dipel 2X is stomach acting, meaning it must be swallowed by the larvae to be effective. After ingestion, the endotoxins cause perforation of the larva's stomach, resulting initially in its paralysis (it stops feeding so it does not cause further damage to the crop) and its death. Approval in In addition, the presence of bacterial spores in Dipel 2X significantly enhances the insecticidal effect because the spores germinate inside the larva, turning its body into a "carrier" of bacteria, accelerating its killing. Dipel 2X should be applied early, with the appearance of young larvae and during its application there should be a good coverage of the entire leaf surface of the crop.
