The Venzar 50 SC is a post-emergent, selective herbicide belonging to the chemical group of uracils which are potent direct inhibitors of photosynthetic activity at the chloroplast level. Uracils block the Hill reaction and interfere with a step in the photosynthetic pathway near the evolution of oxygen. Early symptoms include discoloration of leaf nerves followed by chlorosis, necrosis and eventual plant death.
